Infrastructure

GMM has a round-the-clock Casualty section, as well as a Pharmacy and Laboratory that function 24/7. Essential services available include X-ray facilities, an Operation Theatre, Ambulance on call, Canteen facilities, Back-up power generator and a mortuary. The hospital currently offers patient accommodation in 2 general wards and 4 private wards making for a total bed-strength of 70.

Doctors & Staff

Directed by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the hospital currently has two RMOs, a Paediatrician and a Community doctor on its full-time roster. A General Physician, an ENT Specialist, a Dermatologist, two Orthopedicians and a Cardiologist are available on a part - time basis. Besides these the hospital employs 37 other personnel.

Structure & Governance

The administration of the hospital is vested with the Rev. George Mathen Medical Mission Charitable Society which is registered under the Societies’ Act of the Government of Kerala. The Health Ministry of the Holy Immanuel CSI Church, Mallapally is carried out through this society. The society registration number is A 121/77.

The Rev. George Mathen Mission Hospital (GMM Hospital), Mallappally (in Central Kerala) is a non-profit, charity medical institution. With no other significant medical institutions around it within a radius of 16 km, the hospital provides essential and quality medical care to the residents of Mallappally, a taluk headquarters in the district of Pathanamthitta. With many of the poorer sections of society being unable to afford treatment in other private medical institutions in the area, GMM Hopsitals fulfils a vital need by providing essential services to the poor. Today the hospital serves as the prime healing hub of the community with a reputation for caring and professional service.
